How it works
Each row is one gift: who it is for, the idea, the planned amount and the real price once you buy it.
Tick “Bought” and the totals at the bottom show how many gifts are done and how much you are over or under plan.
The list saves itself in this browser. The Excel file keeps the formulas — fill in the yellow cells, mark bought gifts with an x, and the totals update.
Questions
- Does the Excel file work in Google Sheets and Numbers?
- Yes. It is a standard .xlsx file with plain SUM and COUNTIF formulas, so it opens and recalculates in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and Numbers.
- Is my list stored anywhere?
- Only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server; if you clear the browser data, the list is gone, so download it if you want to keep it.
- Can I add more people in Excel?
- Yes. The sheet has extra empty rows and the totals already cover them.
