Start with the total you want to spend, then plan each category — gifts, food, decorations, travel and the rest. Rename or add categories as you like.
As you shop, write the real amount next to the plan. The difference and each category’s share of the total update as you type.
The budget saves itself in this browser. The Excel file keeps the formulas, so you can carry on in Excel or Google Sheets.
Questions
- How much should I budget for Christmas?
- There is no right number — start from what you can pay without debt, then split it. The planner shows straight away when the categories add up to more than the total.
- Can I use it together with the gift list?
- Yes. Plan the total for gifts here and keep the individual gifts in the gift list; put its total paid into the Gifts row.
- Is my budget stored anywhere?
- Only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
